We sat down with Jenny to learn more about her journey into Sales. If you’ve ever been curious about Sales or Operations in general, this is for you. During this interview, Jenny reflects on her background, walks us through her day-to-day, breaks down the myths of a sales career, and more.
“My day starts at around 07:30. The first step is always my dog – we start the day with a 30-minute walk in the fields. Then I get dressed and make myself a delicious coffee. I’m at my desk around 8:30 am. Before I start work, I create a to-do list for the day, prioritize my tasks, and briefly answer my most important emails.
I always plan breaks to play and cuddle with my dog or go for a short walk, which helps me stay balanced and motivated during the working day.”
Hi Jenny! What attracted you to the Sales Manager position at natif.ai?
Honestly, I was blown away by the innovative vibe and potential at natif.ai. Plus, working in a start-up is super exciting and a lot of fun – there’s always something new and challenging happening.
What does a typical day look like for you as a Sales Manager?
No two days are the same, which I love! I spend a lot of my time reaching out to potential customers – making calls, writing emails, and holding meetings to showcase our solutions. In between, I dive into research, analyze market trends, and come up with strategies to keep our sales processes sharp and effective.
What’s the main goal of a Sales Manager in your view?
For me, it’s all about building trust and solid business relationships to drive our company’s growth. A Sales Manager also needs to stay on top of market trends to spot new opportunities and be ready to pivot as needed.
How do you work with other teams at natif.ai?
Collaboration is key here! I work closely with my sales team, but also regularly coordinate with marketing to create campaigns that hit the mark. And chatting with the product development team is crucial – we need to ensure our solutions are always aligned with what our customers need.
What’s your favorite part of being a Sales Manager?
It’s incredibly rewarding to see our solutions making a real difference for customers. But my favorite part has to be the personal growth – every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities. The interactions with customers are a two-way street; I learn just as much from them as they do from me.
Any tips for someone thinking about a career in sales?
Be genuine and approachable. It’s crucial to really listen and understand what your customers need. Keep learning and stay curious about new technologies and trends. And remember, persistence pays off – not everyone will say yes right away, but don’t get discouraged. Just be yourself and stay committed 🙂
Et voilà!
Happy to have you in the team, Jenny!
