What’s one of the most rewarding parts of your role as HR Manager at natif.ai, and what makes the Natif-Squad stand out to you?

Being the only HR Manager at natif.ai, I have a quite diverse role with a lot of different tasks, and it is actually very hard for me to decide which one is my favorite or the most rewarding one. But if I have to choose, I would say it is the onboarding: To know that we have found a candidate which fits perfectly to our open role and our company culture, and to finally welcome him or her at natif.ai and to make sure that he or she feels welcome, appreciated and well looked after, is an incredible rewarding feeling! 😊

What makes the natif-squad stand out to me is that it consists of brilliant and extremely motivated people who are passionate about AI technology and who really believe in our product and who want to make a difference in the world of AI-based document processing. We are not just colleagues – we are friends working together on a mission that we really do believe in.

If you could describe natif.ai’s company culture in three emojis, which ones would you choose and why?

💙 – It is for a reason that one of natif.ai’s company values is that we are a team of equals: We highly value team spirit, trust, fairness and appreciation. I believe we have shaped a great team, and I enjoy working with my colleagues very much. And the best thing is: I know that they feel the same.  

🌈 – The natif.ai team loves diversity: We are very proud that we have 10 different nationalities among our roughly 50 employees – and everybody has a different personality as well as different strengths and ideas which they can bring in. As diverse as the colors of a rainbow are also the needs that every employee has in their private life outside work – and we from natif.ai believe that they can fulfill them, thanks to our flexible working hours and our option of remote work.

🚀 – This emoji is kind of self-explanatory for an AI startup, isn’t it?! We are agile and fast, we are continuously moving forward, we are pushing the boundaries of AI and reaching for the stars – simply everything a rocket symbolizes!  

What’s your secret for keeping the team engaged and motivated? Any fun initiatives or traditions you’ve started?

My not-so-secret secret for shaping a great team are team events! 😉 If possible, I like to organize one special team event per month. This year, we already played an Escape Room, went on an Alpaca hike, celebrated a Halloween-Party and had a SingStar contest in the office.  Also, since more than one year now, we have our Townhall Meetings: Once a month, the whole team gathers (alternately onsite or remote) to update each other on current figures, projects, success and challenges. When we meet in the office, of course we celebrate our successes afterwards with a pizza and a nice get-together.

When you’re not busy shaping the future of natif.ai’s team, how do you like to relax and recharge outside of work?

In my free time I love to spend time outside: Whether it’s clearing my head while running or cycling, relaxing during a hike or walk, or simply sitting in the sun and reading a book – that’s also the reason why my favorite seasons are summer and spring. Also, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, my family and my friends and I like to travel, preferably to the Alps. Short in emojis: 🏔️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️📖🌳☀️
